After setting up their own companies following roles as Senior Consultants at IBM, SABREX directors, Robert James and Ravi Patel, realised that uniting would enable them to offer customers a broader range of IT services.
This merger resulted in the creation of SABREX. Strong customer relationships, built by becoming trusted advisors, enabled SabreX to expand its customer base to include many leading financial institutions.
The consultancy’s solid reputation has also attracted new clients from lead organisations in the health, automotive, logistics, telecoms, pharmaceuticals, retail, and insurance industries. The addition of former IBM and Sterling Commerce Senior Consultants, Keith Marsh and Chris Ball, has further extended the range of expertise the consultancy offers its growing list of high-profile clients.

Ravi has 17 years of experience with IBM Sterling at Sterling Commerce and IBM. He leads the design and validation of software solutions and architectures ensuring they meet performance and availability requirements. He specialises in solution success, performance tuning, and end-to-end performance enhancement.
Robert James (Director)
Solution Architect
Rob has 24 years of experience with Sterling at Sterling Commerce and as a Lead Consultant at IBM. Rob is highly skilled in the design, build, and delivery of complex systems and transformation projects, involving a wide range of third-party applications and protocols for leading EMEA financial service organisations.
Keith Marsh
Solution Consultant
Keith has 25 years of experience as a specialist in ERP, manufacturing RMS solutions, and EDI/EAI solutions, including business process modelling, and implementation in EDI and EAI environments. His career includes 10 years as a Senior Solutions Architect at IBM and 10 years at Sterling Commerce as a Managing Consultant.
Chris Ball
Solution Consultant
Chris has 22 years of former experience with IBM Sterling technology as Director of Operations at Lightwell and as a Senior Consultant at Sterling Commerce. Chris specialises in EDI/ERP design and fulfilment for manufacturing and supply chain industry data flows.
